What a Wonderful World Art Box for Children
A magical educational art box for children, with art projects, inspiration from artists and quality materials.
The arts of different continents, countries and regions can all teach us much about their particular people’s history, traditions and beliefs. In Africa we look at Ghana and its long tradition of kente and adinkra cloths; and then to Morocco and its zellij tiles. In Asia we turn to Japan and specifically to the art of sumi-e; and to India with its world-famous Taj Mahal. Finally, to South America where we look at the traditional indigenous arts of Guatemala, and specifically at its 'worry dolls'; and to Panama with its brightly coloured textile art called molas.
The 'What a Wonderful World' art box includes:
- A booklet introducing the art theme, with information about artists, art styles and techniques.
- Clear instructions on seven art projects, appropriate for children of any age (4+ years), with tips to tailor each project for Little Ones.
- Includes LoLA book recommendations for further reading.
- Quality materials: a set of Earth powder paints, a paintbrush, a palette, a peg doll, thread, tape, fabric, a styrofoam sheet, coloured papers, black paper and water-colour paper
